Seriously, I would be pissed. Knowing that someone died in the house would cause me a lot of distress, sleepless nights and anxiety. JMO Personally I would not take this lightly, I would make a complaint through the real estate office and I would talk to my lawyer not necessarily to sue, but just to find out about the legalities if any.
Good luck!

A friend is doing some REI in Pittburgh PA.
She said she found a guy who has these "penny foreclosures" where he sells them to her for anywhere from 13,000 to 21,000. Since she doesn't have cash to pay for them, he helps her to finance them through a hard money lender.
So here's the deal.
House cost $15,500
Hard money lender cost - $10,800
for a total of $26,300 so she's financing this amount. I believe the Hard money lender is charging 70% which is CRAZY!
She has to have the house rehabbed and since the company offers this service, she's paying $9600 to have the house rehabbed. She said they send weekly progress reports and pictures.
While the rehab is going on, she's going to be paying the hard money $580 per month which is the mortgage amount.
At the end of 2 months the house should be almost done, so at this point she will get the house appraised and refinance the house for 80 or 90 LTV get out about 20k cash (the house is worth 60k)for the next house, then she plans to rent the property. What do you all think about this...have you heard this before??

This is very inspiring. I've been telling myself that "I'm a MM REI" recently. I even put it on my phone. Like you all said, sometimes your mind plays tricks on you and almost put limitations, but I've been fighting against it. I'm determined to make it big in REI! There is just no "if ands or buts" about it!
Sometimes you think it's hard, but I'm going to be getting out there and seeing what I can do. I'm going to talk to everyone I can and see how they can help me...I'm ready to stop talking and start doing. My dream is to own several apartment buildings, one of them located in Harlem!

Since you are well on your way in REI and you like online gaming...maybe you can create a new game? I dunno, you have to figure out what is the thing you love best other than REI. Once you come up with that other thing you love, turn that into your next career/job/business. In life you never has too much education, maybe go back to school to study something. The answer lies within you.

Then right after he said that says to me......"Ya man you'd be screwing me on da deal, whatch wanna stick a f***ing dildo up my a** mann on dis deal or something mann. Well just to put it blunt."
("No that's not putting it blunt. You go stick that dildo up your own *** and get back to smoking your blunt, which is all your good for you gangsta wannabe"....I almost felt like saying to him)
There are so many people in this business that really has no clue and in their heads when they call people they "think" they are talking sense. How sad.....but when you meet character like the one above...you must get a good laugh!

Boy, how I wish I had $85,000 after expenses every month! Care to share with a motivated REI who is pretty new to the game? I'd love to be where you are financially.
I totally agree wiith takleberry, invest some of that money for the future, you just never know.
If I had money to spend like that, I would travel. Traveling can be a very humbling and mentally broadening experience.
Helping others is also a very good feeling. Having a scholarship foundation to help underpriviledged children would be awesome.
Have you ever wanted to own a franchise (gym, fast food, taxes etc)? This is an option.
Have you ever wanted to play an instrument or perform? Maybe you can take classes! Seriously, I could go on for days.
If you have information that you would not mind sharing with others on how you got where you are at a pretty young age in this business, that may also be fulfilling.
Last but not least, you really should tithe if you go to church.
Good luck with everything and if you want to start your charity work, you can start by sharing info so that I can get to where you are financially.

I love the sand and beach when I'm on vacation.
So Far, the places I love are:
Jamaica - love the water, the food...
Bahamas - some areas are a bit commercial, but we enjoyed ourselves...again, great beach and water.
Antigua -really LOVED it here. We stayed in a bungalow that when you open the door, you are maybe 10 paces away from the ocean. There was no tv, a/c, radio...nothing, my husband and I had a great time and we slept REALLY well from the sound of the ocean.
Aruba - went for 10 days for our honeymoon. Went booze cruisin, parasailing, jet skiing, horseback riding...a lot of fun.
Looking forward to going to Maui this summer.
Other places I'd like to visit...
Fiji
Bora Bora
St. Lucia
Turks and Caicos
Barbados
Florence
Milan
Paris
Canary Island
And the list goes on. :superman:

I am in the same boat man, I am already an insomniac, and obessive learner, so this has just fed into that 10 fold. I too am so anxious to get out of the rat race. I have NEVER felt right being someone else's employee, and that's not because I am lazy - I am a hard worker, I just always felt I was meant to be an entrepreneur.
So finding this is like I've found the key to this lock around my neck called "The Grind". But I don't have an answer to your question just wanted you to know you're not alone because I still don't sleep as often as I should ever.
I'm also super motivated. I study this site and other materials. I talk to investors and started going to investor meetings in my area (Northern NJ) so that helps a lot. I too am not made to work for anyone else, I was born to be an entrepreneur. Good luck with everything.
