Dawn, Jerry -- How long did it take you guys to find a trusted handyman or a list of contractors you're comfortable with? I haven't had to deal with too many issues that needed hiring someone (knock on wood), so curious what you guys went through.

Hi there -- Has any landlords here ever had to deal with urgent repairs while out of town? I have just one townhouse that's rented out, and my fear is that while I'm on vacation, something like the water heater will give out, or a pipe bursts.

How have you guys dealt with these issues in the past? Are there any services/tips/advice you'd recommend?
