My husband and I are purchasing our first investment house, which we plan to rent out immediately. Trying to understand the best route for us just getting into the game....STR vs LTR. We do not live in the city that the house is in - but, my parents and sister/BIL are in the area to help with anything that comes up.

How did you make your decision? Understand STR has the opportunity to make more cash flow, but I like the idea of not having to continue to get folks in all the time with a year long lease.
