@Andrew R. Lucas, if you don't mind me asking. Why do you warn people against using assessors website for pulling lists? Thanks!

Quick follow up question on you comment,

If a lawyer can come after personal even if there's an existing LLC would it make more sense to just spend more money on insurance and skip the LLC. What do you gain by having an LLC if they can still come after personal assets?

Thanks!

I don't have any properties in Deland yet. I have 1 triplex in Des Moines, IA. But my wife and I just moved down here. I needed a property manager to help me analyze an 8 plex in Deland that we are looking to acquire. It looks like it's been super mismanaged and less than 20% of the tenants are current on their rent. I'm hoping I can buy it, fix it and stabilize the rents over the next year or so. Are you in Deltona for cashflow or appreciation? I'm not familiar with the area.

I was looking for a management company in Deland as well. I called Courtney she was extremely helpful with the information. Thanks @Cameron Skinner will definitely go to with her if I end up buying the property in the area.

Hey @Carlos Ramos welcome to the site. I live in the Sanford area as well, I see you are trying to get your real estate license. I just got mine a few weeks ago, let me know if I can be of any help!

Hi @Levi Bennett. I definitely agree with the availability of multi-family properties in the Orlando area. Coming from Iowa I was surprised with this change. In your opinion, what are some ways to invest in Orlando area that would take advantage of the special things the area has to offer?

Thanks for the kind words @Jonathan Makovsky and @Marni DRew!

@Michael Westberry  hopefully you can make it work. Just keep trying and you will find someone that will help you.

@Jordan Archer the most valuable thing has been hanging out with him on Saturdays. I go out to meet potential buyers as well as meeting with the ocassional wholesalers. We drive around town looking at potential houses. It has been very useful to get a feel for what it's like to be out in the field meeting with people and looking at houses. He shows me what he looks for in investment properties as we walk trough the houses.
