@Olga Shkolnikova if you could move it to Morris County possibly haha. Unfortunately I think Jersey City is a little out of the budget, but thanks for the offer!

@Keyla Rosario we're looking in the areas of Parsippany up to Wanaque, and maybe out to Rockaway. Morris County and bordering Passaic County towns seem to be fitting our budget and show potential for growth. We're also trying to keep our commute time in perspective as we work in Hudson County.

@Keyla Rosario the inventory up there is scarce. With the resources available to me, maybe a little more than a hand full of two family homes. I'm trying to figure out if the equity of single family houses would exceed cash flow of two family houses.

Thanks Jack appreciate it! Question though, as much as I understand the investment strategy behind going for a quad plex, in my area these multi unit properties are hard to come by. I think it route looks like it's leaning more towards a two family or a brrrr property.

Hey BP community! My name is Tim and I've been following Bigger Pockets for quite some time now, and finally it's time to join the community! I've been interested in real estate for a while and now with my girlfriend we're looking into buying our first house. With the market being as crazy as it is, I still believe it's possible to get into a primary residence to start our journey. Especially with rising inflation and this being our first large investment we're really trying to find a good wedge deal to help hedge against inflation and start a portfolio. We're looking up in the North Jersey area and are looking for anyone who has experience in that market not only as an agent but as an investor themselves. Can't wait to hear back from you guys and can't wait to get started!
