I am building my multifamily syndication team and I am looking for an experienced multifamily syndication accountant who can ALSO serve as my bookkeeper. My geographic focus is large Sunbelt metros, but I am physically located in Los Angeles, and my partners are in Washington DC. Does anyone have recommendations for accountants who also function as bookkeepers for syndication deals? Thank you!

My two business partners and I are starting a multifamily syndication firm and are in need of some advice regarding syndication attorneys. We will be doing 506b and 506c syndications. I am physically located in Los Angeles, and my partners are located in Washington DC/Maryland. We are investing in large Sunbelt metros (Austin, Dallas, Phoenix, Atlanta, Orlando, etc). I have the following questions about choosing a syndication attorney:

1) Does the attorney need to be located or licensed in the state in which we're doing a deal?

2) Is there any benefit of choosing a local syndication attorney where we live (other than the ability to have an in-person meeting)?

3) In light of the above questions, are there any experienced mulitfamily syndication attorneys that you would recommend for our situation?

Many thanks!
