Im looking for some imput on conventional mortgages and/or lower downpayment non-FHA options.

I already have an FHA loan on my primary residence and am currently pursuing purchasing a 3 to 4 unit multifamily in the same county.

Do I have options for a 5% to 10% down conventional loan? I do know it will vary depending on my credit history, debt to income, etc.

I’m just wondering if people are getting loans like that these days given the time we’re in, what kind of qualifications are needed, and the best places to look for them.

Any imput would be greatly appreciated!

Hey everyone,

Looking for some advice. My girlfriend and I are currently looking to purchase a 3 to 4 unit under $300k and am wondering what kind of road blocks we’ll be heading into finance-wise.

Our situation currently is, we are house hacking a condo. Besides the very little i do personally pay for the condo, the only other items I have under my credit are my car and about $18k in credit card debt. We have $20k for a down payment and want to have $10k in reserves before we pull the trigger. I have a 740 credit score and between the two of us, we make about $150k per year.

Does anyone think we’ll run into issues with financing seeing how I already own a condo?? Or any other issues anyone can think of?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I’m looking to pull the trigger on a three to four unit home outside of Hartford and potentially as far as Litchfield or Middlesex Counties. Anyone finding anything decent in those areas under $350k?

Would also love to chat with anyone that has experience investing in those areas!

This is super helpful!! Thank you for your input Natalie! May sound stupid, I am quite green still, but any recommendations on where to find sample contracts to get an idea of what I'll be dealing with?

Took the first step and began looking at properties today! We visited 3! Should we start an LLC if my friend and I decide to partner up?? What are some of the positives and negatives of doing so? And will we benefit from the LLC in the long run? Thank you in advance for your response!!
