Any thoughts on 77449? (Northeast quadrant of 99 & I10)  I've been looking around there lately and there appear to be opportunities in the 120-160K range.

Everyone,

Thanks for all of the input, really good info.

@Christopher Winkler - Thanks for the detailed breakdown on note types.  I am indeed interested and it sounds like there are some fairly passive options. That's one of the things that got me interested in notes to begin with.

@Darren Eady  @Tiger M.

Thanks for your insights. It sounds like the exposure limits with an LLC is worth it. I'm not dead set on seconds only, just looking for something to get started with that will produce a positive cash flow with a lower entry cost. I see there's potentially a lot of money non performing notes but don't want to jump straight into that.

I appereciate the info- thanks

Good evening,

I'm a new (aspiring) investor and have gotten very interested in notes. I've done a lot of studying on the subject which has mostly taught me that there's a lot more to learn and Due Diligence is critical. I plan to start out small with lower value performing notes, probably seconds, in order to get some experience. One of the first questions that comes to mind is if I should use an LLC rather than buy personally. It seems like while there would be some extra cost involved that it would be worthwhile in the long run. I presumably would also buy and hold rental properties in the same LLC. I'm in Texas.

Any guidance would be welcomed.

Thanks,

Hello everyone,

I'm completely new to Real Estate and have been studying and trying to learn everything I can over the last several months. I'm looking to get into REI as an additional revenue stream to my day job, at least in the near term, and grow it into a primary source of income. I'm still working out where to start but I plan to end up investing primarily in multifamily units. The amount of info I've found so far on BP is impressive and I'm eager to learn more.
