@Heath Thomas Jr  wow thanks for the heads up.  I'm so glad I asked.

You are right I wanted to incorporate in Nevada because of the "corporate veil"

@Account Closed thanks for the response.  The company is offering to setup my corporation and provide legal consultation for 2k.  Does that seem a little high?

Hey BP family,

I attended a real estate workshop a few weeks ago and was told that I should setup my LLC in Nevada because the benefits of incorporating in Nevada are amazing. Is this true? A company based out of Nevada has reached out to me and is stating that I should use their incorporating services. Please advise.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback everyone.  I really appreciate it.

I was told to create a trust and move the rentals under that trust.  Would that be a good move?

Hello Everyone.

First off, let me say this site is amazing.  Secondly, I am stepping out on faith and following my passion.  I have decided that 2016 will be the year that I return to investing into real estate.  At the age of 21, I purchased my first rental property.  By the time I was 24, I had 4 rentals.  Through motherhood, my current career and life, real estate took a back seat.  10 years later, nothing has ever given me the same fulfillment as real estate.  This year, I would like to start my journey as becoming a full-time "RE Flipper" in the DMV area.  I've attended many investment courses and seminars in the area.  I'm currently building my team, during lots of networking and working on getting my RE license.  I still have my rentals but now I'm ready to add RE flipper to my portfolio.

Thanks guys for the responses.

Hi Price- I purchased the property with the thought of moving in but I did not.  Now the property is in my name and I'm nervous about the lack of asset protection.  I called the bank and they stated that I may have to pay the full amount if I did a quit claim.  I owe 15 years left on this house.

Hello.  When I was younger, I purchased my first rental in my name.  How can I get it out of my name without refinancing?  Thanks in advance.
