Hey BP Community,

I’m a newer wholesaler currently focused on building a strong buyers list and laying a solid foundation for my business. I’d love to share what I’ve done so far and get your input on what’s helped you build momentum, especially in sourcing your first few deals.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

Posted in a few real estate-focused Facebook groups to introduce myself

Connected with local investors and lenders who’ve shown interest in joint venturing or offering support

Started researching properties in my area, particularly ones that appear vacant or neglected

Created a professional website (in progress) to support my branding and credibility

Joined BiggerPockets and started networking intentionally

My ask for the community:

What helped you build a successful buyers list early on?

What strategies, lead sources, or partnerships helped you close your first few wholesale deals?

I’m in the Atlanta area and open to insight, support, or even collaboration. I’d love to learn from those a few steps ahead and stay connected with others on this path.

Appreciate this space so much—y’all make this journey feel way less lonely.

Thank you so much Chris! I love that so much! Funny thing is last year I kept saying I'm tired of being the smartest person in the room lol.

Now I find I'm the dumbest person in the room 😆 its awkward but I'm definitely learning.

I'm Goddess new to land investing, but full of curiosity, drive, and purpose. I’ve recently stepped into the world of real estate with a specific interest in land acquisition and wholesaling, especially exploring purchase options for land deals.

As I grow my business, I’m looking to:

Learn the ins and outs of wholesaling land

Understand creative strategies like seller financing and purchase options

Connect with other land investors, buyers, and wholesalers

Build solid relationships with cash buyers interested in land

I’m based in Georgia but open to learning about other hot markets and best practices. If you’re working in the land space—or just love sharing gems—I’d love to connect. Feel free to drop advice, resources, or even just say hi. Let’s grow together!

Hey BiggerPockets Fam,

I just wanted to share a quick mindset reflection that might resonate with someone else on the journey…

When I first stepped into real estate, I struggled to feel validated—even by myself. I kept thinking, “Can I really call myself a professional when I’m still learning?” The lack of knowledge felt loud, and for a while, it made me shrink myself.

But then I had a shift. I realized that real estate isn’t like a 9–5 where someone hands you a title—you claim your space in this industry. You choose to show up with intention, and that’s what makes you a professional. I didn’t need to know everything. I just needed to be willing to learn, take action, and trust the process.

And honestly, being in a space like BiggerPockets has made that decision so much easier (and more fun). The knowledge, the people, the energy—it reminds me that we’re not meant to do this alone. So if you're still doubting yourself, take this as your sign: You’re already in the room. Walk like you belong here.

Thanks for being part of the journey!

I’m Goddess, the founder of Big Goddess Investments (BGI), a real estate investment company focused on wholesaling and creative financing. My goal is to build strong relationships with cash buyers and investors while sourcing off-market deals that generate high returns.

I’m just getting started and would love to connect with experienced investors, wholesalers, and cash buyers in the Atlanta market. I know that your network is your net worth, so I’m here to learn, provide value, and grow alongside like-minded professionals.

What I’m Currently Focused On:

Building my buyers list (If you’re a cash buyer, let’s connect!)

Learning more about structuring wholesale deals & creative financing

Networking with experienced investors & wholesalers for potential JV opportunitie

I’d love to hear any advice you have for someone stepping into wholesaling. If you’re in Atlanta or surrounding areas, drop a comment or message me—I’m looking to connect.

Looking forward to learning and growing with all of you.
