My husband is a contractor and owns his own roofing & siding business. We have separate company for our two SFH. We've been kicking around the idea of investing in a commercial building to get all of his materials out of our garage and our HOA off of our backs. The thought is, we would buy the building through our LLC, and his construction company would rent out that space. Anyone else do this? Considerations to take into account? On one hand I feel like it's just a shuffling of money, and on the other I can't help but think there would be tax benefits to this. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Hi from Michigan! My husband and I will be coming down on Saturday and staying through Wednesday at the Sheraton. This will be our first BP event and we are really looking forward to meeting some like minded people. We bought our first SFH as shut down went in place in 2020, then our second in the winter of this year. We have really been working on handyman specials since my husband is a contractor. Now that we've dipped our toes in, we are looking at expanding into multi family units. Just really looking forward to making new connections and learning some new strategies.
