Does anyone in Washington state have any experience with short plat subdivision, preferably in Thurston county?
In order to fun my RV park my mother has agreed to sell a portion of our land that we forget we own. How much does that cost? Who do you hire to help with answer questions about subdividing? Do you need to do anything to the land? Can you just sell it as is?

Has anyone out there bought the rv park investment series?
https://www.rvparkuniversity.com/rv-park-investing...
If so let me know if it was worth the money. I'm trying to do due diligence for my business proposal. Rv park owners don't want to help me and when i went to the state they said it would cost $1,000 for a presubmission, in which I could ask questions but had to submit a master plan and site plan. I only reason I hesitate to buy any books is because I know it really depends on your area that your building, and any info would be general and possibly wont provide me with info that I don't already know. So, has anyone out there tried this park investment series?
Does anyone have experience creating a master plan and site plan and working with the state on permitting?
-Thanks,
Tierra

Hey
Tyler Blackwell, I just realized I never actually answered your questions, about buying property with no money. I've decided that that wasn't a good idea. My mother told me I could subdivide some of her property here in Rochester to put into a business. I'm not sure if that's entirely doable or not. Do you know anything about the subdivision of land? How costly is it or how long does it take?

HI WELCOME! I just joined this site as well. I'm still trying to figure out how to navigate it. I've found people to be amazingly awesome, and supportive of those who are not as knowledgable because that's why were here to learn from each other. So I wouldn't think any questions would be dumb. Good luck to you on your investment adventures.

Thank you so much! I am zoned. That much I did get out of the permitting center. I live not too far from the state offices so maybe I'll have to go poking around and asking more questions. When I went in they just handed me a packet to fill out for the master plan. When I emailed I got how many dimensions the road, spaces and how far everything needed to be.
I"m going to take these questions to the state tomorrow and ask, because I can't seem to find anything on the state websites. I'm think the problem might be that the rules are lumped under mobile home parks? I'm not sure.
When I first started my business plan I talked to a lady who open a park here in Rochester. I mostly asked about the business side of things. I didn't ask about how to get started. I do know that when they put things in they did it wrong and had to start construction over. Since I'm two miles away from them on the other side of the freeway, I don't know how willing she'd be to share info to a potential competitor. But on the other hand she might not mind, because she's retired and the RV campground is always booked.
So thank you for your help Belinda, these are some great questions. I really needed help going in the right direction, so I'm going to get these questions answered tomorrow.
