@Henry Clark

Thank you for your thoughts. It's going to take me some time to dive into them and process them. We'll be in touch!

Hello, My husband and I both grew up on large farming/ranching operations and we have also spent 5 years managing large numbers of cattle on large, corporate owned operations in Florida and Texas. With land prices so high and agricultural operations being so capital intensive, we see a large shift towards more corporate farms and less family owned farms. We would like to move out on our own and give our kids the opportunities for this lifestyle that we had. We have a vision of entering the market place as a small, family owned operation focused on regenerative practices and a direct to consumer model. This would be centered around a model of offering quality products such as eggs, meat chickens, beef, and produce. We realize that bringing in an investor may be our best option to help us in our vision. I am curious if anyone on bigger pockets has invested in a similar farming structure and what strategies helped them achieve it? Thanks in advance.

@Charles E Nielsen we are from southeast Idaho and planning to move back in the next year and hope to begin our investment journey upon our return. Have you found any investing opportunities yet? What have you learned so far about these markets? These are places we've also looked into investing.

@Bonnie Low Thank you for your insight. We have noticed the growth in Pocatello/Chubbuck and as I've been observing properties and running some numbers I've also seen prices rising. I'd love to hear any other insights you have as being an investor from the area!

@Don Spafford Thanks for reaching out! I'm referring to individual mobile homes. We are leaning towards purchasing mobile homes and then doing owner financing to purchasers of the home as a way to have consistent passive income. What is it about flipping a home on a large lot that makes it better than flipping one that would be in a park? thanks for your insight!

My husband and I are planning on moving back to Southeast Idaho within the next year or so. We are interested in getting involved in investing in mobile homes and are curious if there is anyone in the Northwest who is also investing in mobile homes and would be willing to connect. Thanks in advance.

@Eric W. The Book "How to Invest in Real Estate" by Brandon Turner and Josh Dorkin is a great resource for giving you an overview of what investing in real estate looks like and all the MANY different ways you can invest. I would highly recommend checking that out to help you in deciding whether to move forward investing in real estate. I think it will give you a greater understanding of what it entails and your options.

I'm currently reading How to invest in Real Estate by Brandon Turner and Josh Dorkin that's been really good at giving a 30,000 foot view of real estate and touching on all the aspects that go into it. I think it's great for helping someone prepare for taking the journey, whatever direction you decide to go in real estate. I've also had The Millionaire Real Estate Investor recommended to me as well.
