I'm expecting BTC to hit $250k in the next year and am wondering if its possible to transfer this into multiple properties to avoid capital gains and/or income tax (assuming I'm right about the price of BTC, of course).

I just signed up for the Rockwell Institute and have started the prep work for my DOL realtor exam. Any tips on the process? Also, any useful tips on getting started AFTER passing the exam would be MUCH appreciated! I'm going to try and get this done by April.  I'm planning on selling my house this spring and hope to have my license before I do.

@Ryan Deasy Thanks! It can be pretty tough sometimes, but it's a great job!  I still have a lot to learn with my investing, so i'm in the education and networking phase (if there's such a thing!)

Hello all.  I got bitten by the real estate bug and it really burns (but I don't want it to stop)!  I would love to connect with more like-minded people in my area and go out for a cup of coffee to meet you!  Hit me up in a PM! I work 2 24 hour shifts a week so aside from those 2 days, I'm pretty flexible with my schedule!

I haven't heard that particular episode......but I'm assuming he meant the ARV (after repair value) was 100k. He can buy it for 50k because it needs work, or it is distressed. Hence the 30k in repairs.

Hope this helps!

 I could see that.  Thanks!

So I'm listening to BP Podcast 327 and Brandon gives an example of someone putting $20k down on a $100k house and him putting it under contract for $50k and investing $30k of work into it.  Why and how can you put it under contract for $50k???  I know that this is an off-the-cuff example, and the numbers may be exaggerated, but he was pretty specific about it!

Here's the link to the podcast (example is around 24:40):

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the community here and had a big question.  I've heard some mixed reviews about this seminar and was hoping someone (preferably, someone that has attended) could give me some good insight.  I am within my window for a refund and want to pull the trigger if I get confirmation that this isn't as educational as they made it seem.   I'm okay with paying the money for the course if it points me in the right direction and I can get started in real estate (even if it's a few extra hundred bucks a month).
