Post: Selling my home to my LLC to rent out & buying a new primary

What are the pros and cons estimated by selling my primary house to my LLC. Rent it from my LLC for 3 months then purchase another primary house personally & rent out our current home through the LLC? Or is it better for the rental income to fall under us personally? Any ideas or advice is greatly appreciated.

@Thomas FranklinThank you so much. I have thought a lot about all those things but I do think I need to truly put a plan on paper. I want to start off Buy and Hold SFRs and Multifamily Properties. Mostly I have been on the fence on should I start off with Flipping residential properties. I guess I just need to sit down and truly work on one avenue at a time or so. Thanks again for your food for thought.

Hello everyone. I'm so excited to connect with you all. I'm a Realtor in Maryland and the District of Columbia with years of experience. I'm interested in building my network and also looking to begin a career in real estate investing. I purchased my primary home at the age of 23; after years of being here, a husband and 3 kids later, I'm ready to turn it into a rental and add on to my real estate collection! I'm open to advice and any other things Real Estate.

@Jami Carnageyas others have stated the Fort Washington area, Clinton, Upper Marlboro and such are great areas to invest into. The prices are low due to distressed property care but the neighborhoods value is pretty good. I specialize in Prince George's County; I reside in Capitol Heights and have family in Fort Washington. In the coming months the prices will move slightly due to the National Harbor project. Charles County is a great place to look for properties as well.
