Hello all,

I was in discussion to buy a property from a landowner that I would be able to eventually turn into a rental in a couple of years. I had the back end of things worked out, I knew what property management company I would use, how much the area would rent for, and the price I needed to pay in order to make out okay with the rental. I did not anticipate the property testing high with a 9.8 (pCi/L) radon score. The owners are now trying to fix this by venting/remediation.... but should I stay away from a property with a known radon issue? This would be my first property and first potential rental in a few years and unsure what to do.

Thank you,

Thomas Shields
