Post: Out of state properties

Hi BP I am looking for a mentor for out of state rental properties! Recently I’ve been researching and narrowing down my strategy for how I want to invest in real estate and i’ve narrowed it down to cash flowing small multi family rental properties. I want to invest locally but I am also determined to pursue out of state investing because California is not the most land lord friendly state. I’m 18 and just starting out so I am very eager to look for a mentor who does out of state rental deals. I’m looking for someone I can call or talk to who can provide me some insight on the out of state investing world and just kinda help me get some good information and be someone I can talk to throughout my RE journey. I can not offer much but I am very motivated to get started and even more motivated to learn from people who have been there and done that. Thanks and please feel free to connect with me if you are interested !

@Dan Sheeks Hi I saw your comment and was very interested in what you are offering. I just turned 18 and am eager to learn as much as I can and would appreciate anyone in the field who can give me some tips.

Hi BP !

I just turned 18 and I know real estate will be my path ! I’m currently working on my real estate license and I have a family friend who flips and does rentals so I have someone who can start to mentor me. I was just wondering of any books that helped you on your journey ! I have read BP’s “ how to invest in real estate “ and “ Rich dad poor dad “ and a few others but I’m interested in any more you guys would suggest. Thanks !

@Maureen Santibañez

I just turned 18 a month ago and this is exactly what I was planning on doing , good luck on your journey I hope it goes great !

@Dominique B.

Congratulations on your property ! How long did the renovations take and did you experience any problems while renovating ? I just turned 18 and am working to get my real estate license and eventually become an investor so I am curious !
