AishaE., I asked for the delinquent tax rolls specifically and was told that I would be receiving the entire tax rolls for the county and would have to sift through the data and determine which records were in default.

Hi Brandon, I am looking for a methodology as well. There are a lot of fields in the file that I simply don't understand and maybe they're not important. And the county will not provide support so I have the same dilemma. I did find a training at REtipster but it's not very comprehensive and maybe because there are so many different counties with various rules and regulations. Anyway, good luck and please let me know if you crack the code.

Cheers

Hey Joe, I was able to get the Tarrant County List from the Tax Assessor's office but it's comprehensive, meaning the entire tax roll. You'll then have to have the data converted from ASCII to excel or something user friendly.  The fee is $100 in CD format or you can set up an FTP site and provide the address to the county.

I hope this helps

Thanks Robert and Mike, very helpful. One of the home owners has offered to buy the land and I will sell.

Hello fellow BPers,

I own a small plot of vacant land, sitting between two rural houses in an unincorporated area of Harris County, Tx.  I am wondering how to determine the fair-market value for land? Also,  what are the steps to sell virtually?

Thanks,       Thomas
