Hi BPs!

We have a few rentals for student housing and renters in one of the houses will be graduating in December 2020 but their lease will expires in July 2020. They’re asking if I would like to do a short-term lease (6 months) with them, which I’ve never thought about before.

They’re good renters so I and my husband are considering. But we’re worried that after the short-term lease expires it will be harder to find new tenants signing new 1 year lease in January than in summer.

Just want to know your opinion/ experience about leasing rental for students in summer vs spring time. Is it worth risking to sign a 6 month lease or just let them move out and look for another tenants in summer? The property located closed to campus area.

Thank you in advance!
