@Jon Klaus First, thank you for the Welcome message. As far as what kind of multifamily, I am open to just about any type that shows positive cash flow but because I am a builder I am aggressively seeking out land parcels to build new units. I currently have a duplex project underway which with this particular one it is a tear down and I am building an entire new duplex.

I would seek out advice from a real estate lawyer and / or financial advisor. Most lawyers will sit with you at no charge for a first time meeting. Depending on your overall situation it could help you avert any legal and possible tax issues.

Hi everyone my name is Bill Bourgeois and I am from Manchester NH. I have recently joined and I'm excited to be a Pro member here at Bigger Pockets. Having over three and half decades of being in the residential building & development business, my new focus is to build a portfolio of multifamily rental units through purchasing and building. As a team building resource I am hoping Bigger Pockets helps me build relationships with quality like minded investors.
