Thanks for the welcome, this is really the best REI site ive found!

1031ing, is that even a word? Here is my question: I have several single family homes that I am selling and I want to 1031 them into a multifamily deal, what does that look like? I'm  still trying to educate myself on multifamily and dont think I will be ready by the time all single family units sell, so what do I do? Should I talk to a professional here in the Houston area to get some advice, or is my plan not possible? Thanks!

Howdy Y'all! Just stopping in to say hello and I hope to get to meet some new friends soon. I accidentally stumbled onto the site while looking into multifamily investing, next thing you know I'm listening to the pod casts (awesome)  in my office at work and now I'm typing a hello message on the forum! 

I'm unloading all my single family homes right now and studying on making the move into multifamily or some other high end income producing real estate. I do try to visit the local investing groups around town and hope to meet more BP folks soon!
