Hey, Bp community I'm a local Re investor in NC and I am currently in real estate school, however I also have a wholesale Re inv. business in its beginning stages. I have been fortunate to create a great relationship with a local realtor, who has had great success in the RE field. Nonetheless, the Realtor has presented me some great deals to get me started on this journey. I've dedicated much time and effort to learn as much as possible about Re investing, however I don't want to jump the Gun and make a mistake early in my career. My biggest fear is having inventory with no buyers list, which I am currently building, slowly but surely. I'm 23 years old with huge goals going forward in this industry, but I believe success comes faster and is more vital when you seek help while obtaining knowledge from those who have experience. So, any advice for an ambitious young man as myself?

So I have a dilemma, I am currently taking re courses to obtain my license, however I have also started a Re inv. Business, specializing in wholesaling. I've networked with a number of investors that are willing and able to do business with me, if and when I have inventory to offer. However, I spoke with a Realtor who mentioned, if I am the liaison between a buyer (investor) and a seller I would need to have a license to do such. I'm in Fayetteville, north carolina, anyone familiar with the legality of re investing, and specifically wholesaling?

Hey @Jared Rodgers thanks, when I consider the cruel test I've taken over the past four years in college that does give me a bit of confidenc.

Hey @Trevor Fleck, I plan on doing it full time, however I want to invest also. I actually have a Re inv. Business in its beginning stages, and I know being a realtor can open a lot more doors. Send me your contact info [email protected]

@Michael Barbari Thanks for the info I've never heard of that website before. I'll be sure to check it out.

Thanks again,

Hello everyone, I begin my real estate courses here in North Carolina staring Monday. However I'm a bit nervous considering everyone I have talked to has given me the notion that the exam will be awfully difficult. Any advice for studying purposes? I'm also in my last semester of undergrad in which I am taking four courses, so this is going to be a busy semester for me.

I agree with you Anson smith, If as a wholesaler you are doing your research and due diligence on a specific property, and you close the deal, yet had no Em where does the problem lie. I always telly clients what my job is and that I expect to make money, I started with no capitol, however I closed on my first deal within weeks. Nevertheless, I believe if you are able to provide Em you should just in case things fall through.  Also not all contracts consist of contingencies that say the seller may not market or negotiate their property to other investors or realtors. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I look forward to creating a rewarding and fun career in real estate. Although I am currently just an investor I have the option to get my re license. Should I go for it or strictly Invest?

Hello, I'm a 23 yr old college senior, and I am in the beginning stages of my real estate investment business. Nevertheless, I've taken multiple courses, and necessary steps before making the leap.  My grandmother always told me to heed, to wisdom and guidance from people that know the ropes. With that being said is there any advice for me as an investor? specifically wholesaling residential properties.
