@Pat McGrath

 Question for you.  What pm does your mom use in Chico?  It is known to be hard to find a good one in this town.

Hey Dave...

I'm from Chico but also am a newbie.  I would love to connect and talk though. Have some thoughts on creating more networking in Chico.

My son (he is 16 and has a tremendous desire to succeed in RE) and I have been traveling down to Roseville and Sacramento for network meetings which are great but would love to start something up here.

Chico is so small, we probably have some sort of connection already.  It seems when I meet new people they usually know someone I know, or there is some sort of connection.  That's one thing I like about Chico.  You def must be on good behavior here, because word gets out quick!  Anyway, welcome to BP.  You will LOVE this site!!!

I am jumping into this convo because I am on the fence as to whether to get my RE license.  I too am in California and I keep hearing conflicting responses as to whether I should do so.  I do not plan on using it to make money on sales for others but would just like the knowledge I may gain from obtaining it.  I don't know if I should just study AS IF I was going to take the test and call it good, or go through with sitting for the exam.  Any input from you all would be GREATLY appreciated, especially since you are from Cali.

Terri (I too am just starting out)

Jeff, I see you are from Sacramento.   I have just started to go to some MeetUp's in Sac and Roseville.  I am up in Chico.  You might find some good information at those monthly meetings.  Go to Meetup.com to find the info out.  I am super green and trying to get started up north so I can't answer too many questions, but thought I would toss in this info!  Good luck!

Hi!  I am new to real estate investing.  I am trying to soak up as much info as I can.  Question.... do most RE investors have their real estate license?  If so, why and if not why not?  I was wondering if I should get it just for the knowledge that would come along with it.  Thanks all and I look forward to getting to know some of you on here.
