No my friend told me to ignore it but I think it’s wrong and I just want to know do I need to pay and if so that fine that’s my fault and I understand but people keep telling me to ignore it and that doesn’t seem right

You either signed the lease or you didn’t. That’s all that matters here. Which is it?

If you signed the lease, the owner/property manager has every right to hold you to your legal and financial obligations and your friends who are telling you to ignore the situation are giving you bad advice. The fact that you never picked up the keys or moved in is irrelevant.

On the other hand, if you never even finished filling out the application or signed a lease as your first post seemed to indicate, then you should be ok.  But the fact that you even mentioned “Now if I did end up signing a lease” in your second post makes me think this is probably not the case.

I’m saying I honestly don’t remember because it’s been over a year I was asking if I did  just in case what do I do and if I did sign but didn’t finish the other paperwork did they have the right. And by what other people are saying, they did have the right since the was most likely signed even if the other papers weren’t finish in which I understand. I just wanted to understand if that was allowed or not and which I am taking it is. I don’t now much about these kinda of things so I wanted to get more knowledge about what I needed to do

Now if I did end up signing a lease and didn’t finish the rest of the paper work did they have the right to turn the application in?

Me and my friend where looking at apartments. We went to a apartment and looked around then they took us back to the office and we talked about plans and If we’d be interested. So we were interested and they handed us a application and we started but never finished. I told them I would be back with my mom for her to sign and talk about what’s best. A week goes by and my friend tells me she can’t do it anymore and then my dad kicks me out of his house and now I’m living with my old step mom.... so another week goes by and still keep in mind I never finished to application, the secretary turns the application in and never said anything. In which not everything was filled out. And now we are being told we have to move in and be pay over a thousand even though we never finished signing paperwork, never took the keys, never moved in... and they keep sending stuff in the mail.

WHAT DO I DO I NEED HELP. I’ve asked a couple people and they told me to ignore it but I don’t want to get in trouble for something I didn’t have control over. I have been offered to only pay half from something in the mail but I’m just confused
