Hi, I am currently studying rental properties and often check out the groups on Facebook. I want to really be good at analyzing before jumping into investing. Can someone let me know the formulas of amortization for excel ?

You want to use the =PMT formula

-PMT(rate,nper,PV)

example (fully amortizing $300,000 30-year loan with  7% rate)

=-PMT(7%/12,360,300,000)

@Robin Simon something is not current.

Hi, I am currently studying rental properties and often check out the groups on Facebook. One thing I wish is that BiggerPockets create another section of all the terminologies to know and understand so that I can one day talk to other investors or agents in their language. Or even like a dictionary published by BiggerPockets.

Quote from @Brent Myotte:

Hi Jesse, you may want to check with a portfolio lender.  Not hard money or private money, just portfolio bank/lender that doesn't underwrite loans for sale to the secondary market.  BofI wholesale (formerly Bank of Internet) has a great foreign national program and it's underwritten as a 2nd home (by default, since it's foreign national) .  A mortgage broker signed up with BofI should be able to take care of you.  Last year when I was involved in these loans, there was no Visa, no credit score, no social security number required.  What is required is a valid passport.  Amazing how flexible the FN loan program is.  Good luck

@Brent Myotte Does that still apply to this day ? I am a Japanese national looking for US banks that would lend me mortgage loans. I have no credit score, no trade history, no green card. And I would like to invest from Japan.
