Hello, Recently purchased an over the counter tax sale and looking to have an attorney file for an ejectment. I have found one so far but because his schedule is so packed I think I will try finding someone else. Does anyone know a good lawyer that handles this type of situation in Alabama.
@deniseevans my question for for the persona that stated that when he purchased a tax lien and their were tenants he would start making them pay rent to him. I purchased the tax certificate and there are tenants or squatters currently in the property. I do pay the taxes.
Hello John Underwood . How do you get the current tenants to start paying you rent? How will know if the lease is up?

Thank you for the advice, Chris. I have spoke to attorneys and they keep mentioning that this is one that has fell through the cracks. No family member ever took this to probate and I’m not sure how it remains exempt.

Any other suggestions on what you think I might do instead of the quiet title. The property is actually located in, Georgia.

Do you recommend filing a quiet title or an adverse possession when the owners have passed away including the only person listed on the deed or will of the abandoned home dated back in 1970. This is the only paperwork ever filed and the siblings, children are also deceased by doing my due diligence.

The taxes are also exempt so needing advice on (Adverse Possession) when there aren’t taxes. I would love to save this home and restore it back to life since it’s falling apart. It was built in 1926.

Could someone also point me in the direction of where I would find the filing paperwork.

Do not loose hope just yet. Other than Derek, the other posters just have a strong bias opinions and not grounded in CA law.

There is a way to go back and evict someone who takes possession subsequent to you without having record title in the chain. I'm not going to post it publicly as I do not wish to give it away to folks who think you are trying as steal the house. You can message me privately or go to my 'buy Rick coffee' tab.
