@Dennis Bragg this was solid advice. I’m not from the NC area but I’ve been looking into investing here and IN. To answer your question (that wasn’t actually aimed at me) my concerns are investing in an area that I’m completely new to and building an out of state team that will be effective.

Post: Looking for a GC in Baltimore

I’m looking at some properties in the Baltimore area and would likely need the help of a GC. I’m a first time investor so I’m looking for someone reliable and knowledgeable to help round out my team.

Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback. I appreciate your inputs! Just trying to make sure I don’t set myself up for failure early on.

Hey! I’m a new investor currently working on building out my team. My realtor recommended a lender and after speaking with them, I’ve been pre approved with an interest rate of 6%. That seems a little high and I want to shop around to find a better rate. My fear is that shopping around will result in multiple credit runs and I don’t want my score to drop. Any advice on how to intelligently shop around?
