House sat vacant for awhile. There are code violations. The elec was upgraded but there are other violations. No one would be living in it whilst fixing it up.

I was concerned that if it gets condemned then I have a clock ticking and have to get everything done immediately, and that the govt can take the house, or say stay off the land. Which makes no sense if your going to work on it. I've never dealt with that so it seems a bit scary.

I think it was upgraded to the 1940-s60s. I'm guessing. I think at one time it was gutted and redone, but it is just utilitarian. No nice fireplace, or mouldings, trim etc. No remnants of a cabin. Only stone walls. There could have been a fire or just a cheap redo at some point. Which is another reason it needs to be torn down to the studs.

I have no problem highering professional contractorrs for the job. It is a small house so would be perfect for a fist time rehab.

I dont know if I could make the house bigger or the bank would say no. It has to be the same size.

Thanks I'll look into getting that temporary line. There is power to the utility pole/house. It's just not turned on.

Hello I'd like to know how to get a loan to redo a house? Im not looking for lenders but is there a specific name for that loan or time frame for it? House needs to go down to studs. House is from 1800s.

I also need an inspection to get elec to the house. It had elec, but they want house inspected to turn it on. I only want elec to telephone pole. I'm afraid if I get a house  inspection, they might condemn house. It will be rebuilt. But needs elec there to work on it. I dont know what to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
