Thanks David.  I don't have a current project in mind but, on our last project, we used our GC.  Unfortunately, he was still a little lax on his estimates and we were over budget.  It wasn't a catastrophic amount but some of the items seemed like rookie mistakes, even though he's quite experienced.  Since there are so many great calculators on BP, I thought there might be one for construction costs (new and reno).  I appreciate everyone's input and advice on this!

@Greg Dickerson and @J Michael Fimbres thank you both for chiming in on this.  What I was looking for was a template or calculator to help estimate the costs (all the costs) for a new construction project.  As I learn more about Opportunity Zones, I see the value in building on OZ land.  As an investor and not really a builder, I was looking for a little guidance to help me estimate what I might be looking at for cost to build.  Clearly this tool isn't yet available on BP so I'll keep looking.  If I find something helpful, I'll be sure to post to this thread.  Thanks again!

I've looked at Quickbooks and Stessa and wondering if anyone has a favorite expense tracking software.  We have investments and only a few rentals so I need something that is good for all business tracking and the ability to track rentals.
