Yes, run if you're a person of color! 

I'm a Real Estate Broker who trusted this company with my clients. I cut off all communication and pulled all of my existing files with this Lender and took them elsewhere. I reached out to the CEO of the company about the issues with the files. All of their communication is poor. They lie about what they say they can do for investors. They treat all appraisals like FHA appraisals even though the homes are being purchased by an investor. And they also use racist and prejudiced appraisers. I had to choose a different company for my client. She closed with them with no problem and the property appraised how it should have, just fine. My client had to pay for a 2nd appraisal by moving to a new Lender. This company lies about everything and works with appraisers at appraisal management companies who devalue properties in neighborhoods where people of color reside. This Lender never does what they say they can do or will do. Everything changes when you put a deal in front of them. Never a transparent moment with these people. You learn that your transaction is denied at the end of the transaction, when it is too late to rectify the matters. We tried to challenge the appraisal. Nothing worked. I'm glad that I had reasonable sellers on that side, because we had to wait another full 30 days switching to a new Lender. Otherwise, my client would've lost her earnest money had the sale side been frustrated enough. If you are a person of color, please do not work with this Lender. You will be disappointed because they don't respond well to us unfortunately. This is both me and my client's (our) experience.

I'm sorry but this is the worst experience ever that I had with my California client. It took over 4 months to close 3 duplexes. I had to beg the Listing Agents on the other side to not pull the deals and to not keep my buyer's earnest money and have her lose all the money she had into all 3 deals which would've been to the tune of $9000 or more. Never in my life have I ever experienced such incompetence. I had to actually call the corporate headquarters to get things done. Even still, I had a difficult time navigating and getting to the right person to handle this situation. It still was a struggle even after that! Also, the Manager above Shawn did nothing but try to protect Shawn's good name. I asked for someone else to work with at the firm and the Manager refused to do it. His idea was that I should give Shawn an opportunity to redeem himself. No, that isn't good enough. People need to be held accountable for their mistakes. Not one person should ever have to go through this ever! I will be making sure this complaint is heard loud and clear.
