Hiring an agent reduces your liability significantly. Agents are trained with the proper paperwork to fill and the procedures. Agents also do the follow-up communication with the lender (if any), appraiser (if any), inspector, title company. There are multiple steps that can be missed by a FSBO, unless the seller is knowledgeable in these areas. A RE Attorney may be a good idea. Make sure updated forms are used as they are updated regularly.
