Hey bud, nothing yet. I stopped looking for a bit. I'll start again soon.

I have cash, but it doesn't seem that the foreclosure properties are any cheaper than market value, anyway. I'd like to learn more about these auctions though, maybe I can buy in cash for a good deal. Where do I go about finding these auctions?

@Matthew Irish-Jones thank you so much. I'm looking forward to meeting you soon.

@Hai Loc bro! I gotta do that too!

@Paul Dolan hey so clearly our Toronto meet up was cancelled. I can't make it tomorrow, is it every Wednesday? If not, I'll just call you tomorrow, since I was hoping we'd meet tonight. I also went over the email you sent me! Let's discuss it all tomorrow?

Hey friends,

Has anyone recently done, or continues to find fix/flip houses in Buffalo, NY?

I'm from Toronto and exploring the market there, but I'm not sure if there is enough meat on the bones with the way asking prices are for both current properties, as well as foreclosures. Houses seem to need a lot of work, and even foreclosures are asking market value.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

@David Steinbok - I've sent you a DM with the meetup details. Even though I'm a Pro user, I'm not firm on what the rules are for sharing meetups publicly! :)I've also posted it on the Bigger Pockets marketplace.

Haven't come yet, but will come next time!

@Ming Lim I have to come to one of your meet ups. I think I might be on your list, but hey! Glad to see there's a strong Toronto presence here!

Thanks for all the insights, everyone else, as I lurk and learn.

Hey Shawn,

Good to see you here. I myself am from Toronto, ON, but also looking to invest in the USA, Colorado being one of the places.

I heard through a consulting client once that Denver was getting tough. I'm sure with the network you build here, you'll be able to pull multiple rabbits out of the proverbial hat.

Other than that, I've sent you a connection request - perhaps we can learn from each other!

What books would you pros suggest?
