Hi @Taber Annable! Sounds like you're crushing it already. I'm here in Phoenix and interested in getting some of the fresh local investors together to vibe and hear new ideas.

That sounds good to me! Count me in. I like the idea of in person better than virtual. What are your thoughts?

Working on an invite-only event to make sure we get a good sized group together with the right energy, check your messages.

 Sounds good sir. Will do.

Quote from @Brian Valdivia:

Hey Taber,

One thing that I did in the beginning in order to connect with other investors was to look up local meetups that were within an hour of my target area.  This worked out really good.  I also looked for real estate agent events as well.  This has served us well because the agents can be a really good source of off market properties.

I'm not local to you, but this worked out really well for me in the beginning.

Thank you. I appreciate that advice. I have mostly been looking for investor meet up on the MeetUp App but almost all the metro ups I have found have been virtual with only like one or two people attending. I am not sure if I am looking in the right place or not or searching correctly, but I will keep checking it out. I haven't checked out Facebook groups yet but have heard that is a good place to check out also. So that is my next step. I will check out some real estate meet ups also like you suggested. I have been a little Leary of doing that for fear of them only trying to sell me there services and not really interested in building a relationship unless I have the ability buy right now. But I know that they are not all like that so I should just dive in and see what I can see.

Hey there to anybody in Phoenix who is having an in person real estate meet up. I am a new investor who is in the process of house hacking. I have two properties. I live in one and am just finishing up renovating my previous residence and will be trying to mid term rent that property and also mid term rent the casita on my current property. In addition top that I would like to get into wholesaling properties. I would love to get connected to investors here in Phoenix. When the renovation is done on my rental property I will also be looking for an opportunity to connect with a local investor and offer my services for free for around three days a week so that I can hopefully add some value to them and their business and also learn more about the business and being in that business. I would love to connect with a local wholesaler or possibly an investor who also does property management. Or possible a fix and flipper who would be willing to help teach me the ins and outs of finding financing. Or someone who is actively applying the BRRRR method on a regular basis. If there is anyone out there who is interested in getting together and talking I would love to grab lunch sometime.

I am an I vestments virgin. I have spent a lot of time in the last couple of years reading a lot of real estate books (several from bigger pockets authors) and I listen to Bigger Pockets Podcast. I am extremely interested on becoming a real estate investor, but I would really like to meet some investors that are currently successfully investing in the Phoenix area. I have no one to give me some pointers or to bounce ideas off of and would love to meet some people who can give me a push or point in the right direction. I know and have heard through Bigger Pockets that investors like to help people out. Then only problem is that I don't know a y investors, so know one knows I am out there to help. Haha.

All of that to say, does anyone know if there is a real estate meet up in the Phoenix area that I could go to and maybe meet some people? Someone please help me take the next step.

Hello everybody here on Bigger Pockets. I'm a newbie to Bigger Pockets and to real estate investing. I red a couple of books by Brandon Turner and a couple by J Scott. That is how I found out about Bigger Pockets. I am hoping to meet some other investors here. Maybe some other newbies to investing like me, but hopefully some veterans of investing thatI might be able to learn from. It seems from the books by Brandon Turner that this is a good place to be to get help encouragement and advice.
