Hi!

Recently moved out of a primary residence and am renting it as a medium term rental (3 month stay).  When we called our HO insurance company, they stated they won't write a product for an investment property leased for less than 6 months.

Any recommendations on what companies to look into to replace insurance coverage?

Is anyone familiar with short-term rentals specifically marketed to traveling nurses?

Have a house that will be ready to rent in the spring 2022 and trying to get ahead of how to advertise and manage in such a niche market.

Recently purchased a house as owner occupant and I have a renter lined up for when I move out after the 1 year mark.

Thinking of bringing them in sooner as a roommate and then doing a formal lease once I move out.

Has anyone done a formal lease agreement for a roommate? Curious if that’s common or not.

Participating in my first city tax auction next week.

Any general tips?

What I know is it’s an absolute tax auction, so all liens will be wiped clean from the property and sold to highest bidder.

I am specifically interested in the vacant city lots zoned for single family residential. If I can get a good deal, plan to build new construction.

I'm looking for a contractor in Richmond, VA.

Specifically need to convert a walk-up attic into a finished space (combo bedroom with closet and laundry closet). Forest Hill Park area.

This is the most immediate project need, but hope to develop a relationship for future projects as well.

Any recommendations?
