@Ryan Cox: Thanks for jumping on it. Are you an operator or investor? And are you doing new developments or add-value deals? I've heard and read quite a bit about DFW have already have already had a few phone conversations with local operators.

@Francois Frigon: Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'll add New Braunsfeld to my list to explore further. What's your investments criteria there?

@Jordan Moorhead: I'll take a look.

Hi all,

Wondering what bank you'd recommend using as a real estate investor in the Los Angeles and San Diego area. Any advice/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I'll be attending. Thanks, @Darren Sager for this event. Looking forward to it.

Just following up on this...do we not have any New York and/or Manhattan experts here :)

Hi all,

Wondering if a few of you NYC specialists could share some information on purchasing a condo in NYC. I'm specifically wondering if it's a worthwhile investment. So, I'd love to know a little more about breakdowns of upfront cost when buying, all holding cost, and selling cost, as well as appreciation rates, etc.

I'm basically looking to put together a case study to present to another investor to purchase or not to purchase a condo in Manhattan.

Thanks in advance!

Sven

@Bryan H. That's great. Thanks for sharing.

I'm wondering what your thoughts are on the direct tone of the letter and coming straight out of the gate saying that I want to buy your property. As an active investor yourself, this obviously doesn't bother you. And most (if not all) other active investors wouldn't care either. In fact, they'd probably appreciate it.

However, I'm wondering if the average absentee owner receiving this letter has that type of mindset or would be slightly 'turned off' by it. I guess, I'm not sure whether the average absentee owner is an active investor or simply someone who owns one rental property for whatever reason.

Curious about your (and/or anybody else's) thoughts.

Interesting @Bryan H. Do you mind sharing the letter either here on BP or via a private message or email? Would love to take a look at it, if possible.
