I don't know what the requirements are to become a home inspector, but I do know that you learn by experience. This inspector I know trains his guys and takes them to homes with him. If I were in your shoes, I would probably get to know a good GC that could estimate repairs, and tell you what work is needed. Then use him for the work, that way you don't really need an inspector. As an agent I recommend a home inspector for regular home buyers, because there is often things that get missed by a regular home buyer. I don't think I would hire a home inspector for a flip, because they won't know as much as a contractor.

The link for Indiana didn't work. Is there a correct link I can send to my clients?

NWI is a great location for investing in RE, I'm a broker and would love to help you out if I can. Do you have any questions about the areas? I have a list of properties from the MLS that I update regularly, and would be happy to share that with you. I do everything RE tho, and would be happy to help with whatever you need.

I am curious what you are looking for, and why does it need to be off market? I am a broker in Northwest Indiana.

I would reccomend Cordell Sylvie with MRI Home Inspection, he's very knowledgeable. I use him often as a Realtor.

I can send you his number if you'd like.

Hey everyone, I search the MLS daily and run comps and rental analysis for NWI, for now mostly Lake Co. and Porter Co. I can send anyone a link to the spreadsheet with my numbers if they're interested. Just starting this process, but I'm hoping it can be a great tool for my investor clients and friends.

Here in Northwest Indiana, it is a great investor market. Whether it's buy and hold, flip, or something else; I can help you. I really enjoy working with investors, understanding their goals and helping them reach their dreams. I understand what investors want, and I know how to acquire, and sell properties for the greatest profit. Would love to help anyone interested in investing in my area!
