Post: Corporate Credit Scam?

Hey guys!
I met someone recently who says that she lets others use her companies line of credit in exchange for cash. For example, she said that if someone pays her 10K she would absorb your company into hers and allow you to establish a 100K line of credit (using her companies tax history).

Is this a scam or illegal? Thanks in advance

Hey guys!
So my question is pretty short and sweet. What makes a risky investment worth it? Is it the ROI? Is the creativity? Is it the person who brought the investment to your attention? In a nutshell, when is it OK to invest in something that looks horrible on paper? Or is there never a time.

I guess my first question would be. How do you feel technology has opened up the Real Estate community? Besides the obvious "listing here" -- "info there" -- How does those in the Real Estate community use technology to their advantage? Are there any gaps or ways that people feel like the processed can be more streamlined?

Hey Charles,

I think that Real Estate investment is something that I would dabble in soon.

For now, I have primarily been in software development and film (I know two strange things). When the economy started slowing down I moved back into software development (less overhead, less red tape, etc).

My primary interest in RE lies on the software development side of things. We have been creating a general purpose software platform--

I have been trying to find ways that each market can utilize it. So from my prospective, I figure the best way to learn how people in RE think is to hang out in a forum where they communicate. Hehe

Hey guys!

My name is Solomon and I am a software developer from Los Angeles, CA. I am joined BiggerPockets as a way of learning how I can better improve the free software platform we are developing.

In a nutshell, it is called ZhoutIt and it allows users to both communicate via text without giving their phone number and for users to find services, food, deals, tips, and other local based data via text and mobile app.

Although I am not really a Real Estate person, expect to probably see me posting other areas (especially in general and it-related topics). Anyway! I am interested in hearing from all the cool people out there!
