Thanks a lot for the info Meghan. I'll definitely take. look there too.

And thanks for directing me to that board

@Bruce Lynn

thanks for the info Bryce. That's great input and cautions are very welcome.

Brilliant. Just down the road. I'm in McKinney. I'll be in touch. Afternoons are also good for me.
I'm  down with flu at the moment so I'll pick up again with you in a week and keep these germs to myself. Thanks again.

Hi @Denver McClure.

I really appreciate the offer. I'll be in touch to take you up on that for sure.

How does your schedule generally look and where are you based? Perhaps we can meet up in the next couple of weeks if our schedules align?

Thanks again

Hello BP Community,

Excited to be here and to learn from the wealth of knowledge in this group!

I'm new to real estate investing, aside from a handful of books I've recently finished—one of which (BRRRR by David Greene) led me here. I imagine some of you also started down this path the same way!

I'd like to get my feet wet with a flip or two before transitioning into long-term buy-and-hold properties. I have some capital saved up and a HELOC ready to fund renovations.

I’m based in North Dallas, TX, and would love advice on areas to consider around Denton, McKinney, Melissa, Anna, Dennison, Van Alstyne or anywhere along the 75 corridor—or any other recommendations you might have!

I’ll be speaking with a few agents but would love to hear from this community:
✅ What local areas have good margins for flips?
✅ Any investor-friendly agents, lenders, or contractors you’d recommend?
✅ Have you had success with auctions, or should I wait until I have more experience?

Looking forward to connecting and learning from you all—thanks in advance for any insights!
