Hi everyone I'm been learning REI for over a year and I'm looking to start investing in about 6 months or so. I'm wanting to start going to meetups to meet other local like minded investors. I'm living in Blue Springs but will drive anywhere in the KC and surrounding areas for a good REI meetup. What local meetups do you recommend? Thanks!

Question! If you use a Business CC to by a property and the Credit Card earns Cash back or travel points do you have to pay personal taxes or taxes though your LLC?

It is free money and a form of income but not sure if it’s taxable for personal uses. Thanks in advance!

@Ralph R. You are spot on! I’m an old Dave Ramsey fan and always thought that was. I recently started watching BP on YouTube/Robert Kiyosaki on YouTube and been questioning my strategy. Thank you for taking time helping me. I think I have to sit down with the wife and discuss our options.

@Jonathan Soto I was also considering that but was not sure if I wanted to get my feet wet first with one renter.

I do like the thought of more bang for the buck and I’m guessing it my be easier to manage up keep.

Thank you for your help Jonathan!

Looking for insight! This is my first year for Rental Real Estate investing. I want to buy and hold and rent out.

Ok so my thoughts! I saved up 100k cash. I would like to buy a 80-90k single family home and use the extra 10-20k from the 100k to fix up and take care of the extra expenses. I know I could finance 4-5 homes with 100k but debt to be honest scares me. I would like to keep the mortgage out of the equation.

So I then would rent it out for 900-1,000 a month and save an extra 2k a month from my job. 34-36k annually before expenses and taxes.

Once I save up another 100k repeat the process.

Each house I buy will snowball the money and shorten the time to save for a new house.

Eventually I’m hoping I can buy a house every year or two and quit my job in 10-15 years.

Let me have your honest opinion. I want to learn and see everyone’s ideas. Thank you all in advance!

@Katie Miller first year investing in Real Estate. I saved up 100,000 cash and want to buy a 80-90k house with all cash and 10-20k to fix up. Sorry I don’t like payments. I know I can buy 4-5 houses with my 100k but I don’t want the risk of house payments. Then take the rental income and save 2k from my job each month till in can by another in 3-4years. Just keep snowballing that same formula for 15 years and then retire at age 56.
