I'm in the Hawaii area and I would really like to get started here with some rental property. eventually whenever I go back to main land I would love to continue investing back home (Florida). I have a lot to ask so I would appreciate any advice you could send my way

Hello everyone my name is Steven, I'm very new to the world of Real Estate Investing. I've been doing a lot of reading on Real Estate Investing (currently reading: The Millionaire Real Estate Investor) and I'm really motivate to get out there and make something happen. I don't have anyone in my bubble that has done any Real Estate Investing before so that makes me a bit reluctant to get out there and get my feet wet. I don't want to my first deal to be my last. I know that getting started can be pretty intimating but I do want to get started. If there is any advice that anyone can give on networking, or referring me to anyone in the Hawaii (stationed there) area that has some experience or beneficial guidance, or any steps that would get me started that would be extremely beneficial. thank you!
