Just see my post got some questions. I've been in China for 5 months so out of the loop. $6000 cash flow is before insurance, taxes, vacancies.  Seems to be a lot harder to find deals now.

no expert, but I was in Yangon last year and hope to return this year. As far as I know they passed a new law "don't quote me" that allows foreign investors to buy units above the 6th floor, but not land.

That's a ton of cash to have and I'd be careful how you spend it. Over past 4 years Ive carefully bought re habs in conservative Omaha market that has 3.5% unemployment and fairly high rentals. Paid $25k for a 5 plex first off and $25k to rehab it. It now throws off $3000 a month.

I've been investing in rehabs and rentals for the past 4 years in Omaha, buying low, rehabing and renting for the most part. I have 11 units now that cash flow about $6k a month. Not bad.

Hi Parker. I spent last Chinese New Year in Guangzhou. Almost ran out of money not realizing teh banks would be closed for so long. I have been finding good deals in Omaha and now find myself splitting time between Omaha  and traveling in Asia. It doesn't have the dizzying appreciation but it doesn't have the cliffs either.
