Hi All,

Does anyone in the Tacoma, WA area have a property manager that they love?  We're looking.

Thank you!

Hi Blaine, Nice to see you on BiggerPockets.  We currently use Affinity Real Estate Management -

Affinity Real Estate Management, Inc. | Tacoma and Pierce County (affinityrent.com) -

to manage a duplex and a single family home we own in the Tacoma/Puyallup areas.  I work directly with Sahndra, she's been great.

@Cynthia Williams

Hi Cynthia. I just discovered this local forum today. We live in the Spanaway/Graham area, so pretty close.

I still consider myself a "newbie", but we did get past some analysis paralysis and bought an off-market duplex in Puyallup this September. One side needed some rehab and is now rented. The other side is still occupied by a long term tenant. So far so good!

I look forward to attending a local meet-up once this craziness has ended.

Glad to connect with another local!

Steve

Kerry and Kevin, thanks for the welcome and the advice.  I am really liking the Podcasts, it's very encouraging to hear how all these people got started and learn about some of the mistakes they've made.

I'm just starting to look through these forums too. I'm looking up the next webinar now, and have found a couple Real Estate clubs to check out. Is anyone in the area a member of REAPS (Real Estate Association of Puget Sound) or REIA (Real Estate Investors Association of Washington)? Anything to be aware of if I go to their meetings? I plan on going to a Washington Landlord Association meeting next week also. I've used them for tenant screenings and landlord advice in the past. Kevin, I will set up that keyword alert as well.

Thanks again for the information, it's fun to see people on BP in my area.

Thanks Nicholas and Steve!  Nicholas, the Tacoma market seems to be moving along, from my limited knowledge, but I'm learning.  Prices seem to be slowly increasing.    Steve, thanks for the heads up about the monthly meetings, I will keep my eyes open for them.  We live in the Spanaway/Graham area, so I'm looking out that way at this point.  The podcasts are awesome, I've been listening to them whenever I can, especially commuting.    I'll have to hook up with one of the webinars too.  Thanks!

HI Everyone,  I found BiggerPockets after being told about it by a co-worker a few weeks ago.  I've taken the free course and have enjoyed listening to the podcasts, there's some great information there.  We currently have 1 rental home that was our previous residence.  I am reading/listening to learn more about flipping and buying to hold/rent.  It's good to be here!  Steve Butts
