@Tyler Blackwell - I don't currently own any investment properties. We house hacked when we lived in Seattle renting out a DADU - and did a long-term hold and flip on our residence there. We had similar plans moving to Olympia, but never closed a deal that worked.

My name is Steve Abercrombie and I am new to the real estate world as an investor. I am currently looking to make connections in the South Puget Sound area (Olympia, Tacoma, Shelton, Chehalis, etc.). I am taking some time to learn more about the regional market and successful strategies that people are employing.

I am interested in evaluating deals, likely as either buy, fix, and hold or flip opportunities. I currently have about $30K of capital available for the right project, but am building a bigger war chest, and don't mind waiting for something where the numbers make sense.

My background is in green and energy efficient building projects. I've worked for the past decade as a consultant and commissioning agent in commercial, institutional, retail, and (more recently) multifamily projects. I have expertise in HVAC, utility incentives, energy code, and LEED and am happy to share what I know in these areas.

Depending on what phase the construction projects I'm consulting on are in, my schedule is pretty flexible, and I am typically in the Seattle area at least one day weekly. I look forward to learning more from the BP forums and hope to join some networking events in the near future.
