Hello,

We have a single family and a unit in a duplex in Cleveland that need work done. It has been extremely hard to find contractors that actually service the east side of Cleveland. Most of them never reply or simply say they don't go in that area. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Thank you Andrew I am aware of that.

@Diego Hodge thank you for this wonderful information! This is me my wife’s third rental property but first in Cleveland. I didn’t want to be stuck into analysis paralysis so we jumped on the deal. It already came fully occupied with two section 8 tenants. One of the tenants will be leaving in a couple months hence why I am reaching out to fellow Cleveland investors with Section 8 experience.

Your story is inspirational and gives me great hope in finding good section 8 tenants. If we screen them correctly as you suggested and don’t jump on the first tenants that shows interest, we will be in good shape. Just like cash paying tenants you have to fully screen them to find the best ones.

I sent you a connection request would love to discuss more.

Thank you.

Thank you for that, never can be too sure!

Thank you Bob, that’s great advice! I think it will be worth it in the long run. Getting that direct deposit every first of the month should help a lot in lower graded neighborhoods.

Thank you Brian! I will reach out to him.

Hi fellow investors,

I just bought a multi unit in a D neighborhood and I think keeping section 8 tenants might be the best course of action. What are gotchas I should keep in mind? I saw other investors recommend looking at their current home before accepting to rent. Anything else that might be helpful? I would also love any recommendations on PMs that deal with the 44120 zip code and section 8.

Thank you.

Hello fellow investors,

Just bought a duplex recently and would love to discuss that area of Cleveland with others. What are good PMs that work in that area? Do you rent to Section 8 tenants? Any reliable handyman recommendations?

Thank you.

Stephon

Hi Kellan,
