Joan Brown typically there are many duplexes for sale all around Lubbock... from time to time you can find 4plex and a few triplex, but for the most part, I always see duplexes... old and newly built. Newer duplexes will be towards the south side of town, where older ones will be in the central and towards the east
@shaunpruett actually the multi family market in Lubbock is fairly good.... but yes, I have been running into the same issues with the entire DFW area, people only selling one side of a duplex, or less than desirable properties... the ones it seems that are for sale which are good to live in, are always 100% occupied with long term tenants, which is a good thing if I only wanted a property for 100% rental... except I am wanting to live in one side... it just seems this route is not likely to happen in the greater DFW area

I'm preparing to buy and hold rental properties.. starting with living in a multi-family dwelling.. The problem I am seeing in the area I am moving is I am finding zero multi family properties worth living in.

I have been looking on many different sites for a good multi family rental property in the Denton, TX areas, but I have come up with only a handful of properties.   Is there just not many multi family properties in the area or just typically not ever for sale?   Any info would be appreciated!
