 I operate a mid term renting out room set up in Little Rock AR - I just call it "Renting out Rooms" there isn't a specific name for it. 

 Just buy a 3BR/2BA or 2/2BA as if you were going to live in it or take the rental arbitrage route, which is what I did & rented it on BnB by rooms.

@Stephen Dugan, the PC version, co-living, however, I just refer to it as a rent-by-the-room investment.
