So another question on a 1031 with a twist. I hold my property with a corporation based in the state that I live in now. I want to sell this property and be based in another state. I don't want to hold the new property in the corporation in the old state. What strategies can I use to do a 1031 between 2 states? Or is it impossible?

I think you should head over to Landlord Tenant forum. There is a commercial real estate sub topic there. And a lot more info there. Good luck.

The group has been formed and has 30 members. But nothing else I know about. I was not contacted.

Hey what a great idea and just what I'm looking for. I own a commercial real estate venture right now, and it is for sale. But I am very new to commercial side, I owned duplexes mostly before this venture. I do have the requisite requirements to join this group. Please send me an invite. Thank you.

I bought 2 duplexes and a cottage all residential loans 30 fixed. I agree with Jon (in FL) anything under 5 units is residential no matter if you are renting it out.

You live you learn!

Randy, many people have the same thought. I have seen posts similar to yours and I am of the same mindset. I do buy books, but $5K-10K boot camps; don't think so. I am here to learn and there is a wealth of info here and I will be a sponge! So speak your mind don't worry what others think.
