Hello Sandy B. and welcome to BP! My name is Stanly Hernandez and I too just started investing. I'm 21 years old, (starting off young). I also live in San Pedro. Maybe we can get together and talk about investing. BTW I have 1 question... where did you look to find FIBI events. I've been looking but can't find any around here. Also, ive been looking for a mentor around my area thats willing to work with me. Maybe we can help each other out.

Allan Mugu Thanks Allan! I'm gonna give it all I got. I'm going to try getting a single family home, live in it and sell it after. If it worked for Brandon Turner at the age of 21, i'm sure it will work for me too.

Brandon Turner Thanks for the welcome! I also think 21 is a good age to start. Thanks for the links too. I'll make sure to check them out and learn as much as I can. I can't wait to get started.

Tia Williams Like some people say " Age is just a number" Thanks for the warm welcome and advice. Tell me more about wholesaling. I thought wholesaling was the same thing as renting apartments... I might have it mixed up.

Hello everyone! My name is Stan. I'm from Socal (Los Angeles County) and i'm interested in real estate investing. My goal is to buy/own, rent and sell homes and apartments. I'm only 21 years old and i'm new to this. I've read success stories here and I want to be able to share one some day. I went to college to study accounting and unfortunately I didn't finish because of work. They change my schedule every 6 months. So i'm confused about a few things... I don't have money for a down payment to buy a house so who should I go for that? Will they take me seriously or look down upon me because of my age? Any advice will help! I'm serious about this and I feel that I can succeed in this field. I would like to get with someone in this area to talk and have cofffee or something and learn. I know i'm young but hey... we are the future right?
