I noticed an important service we use missing.

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I was thinking about all of the technologies and services that we use to run our investment/property management operation and decided a visual was in order to map it all out. I'm an IT guy by day (architect - 20 years in IT), so leveraging technology has been the main ingredient in enabling us to scale our RE business, while still maintaining our day jobs. Our focus is to leverage as many free and integrated services as possible, but there are obviously a bunch of things that cost money to use - which are not noted. It's not 100% inclusive, but close enough to cover 90% of things.

Anyway, I don't get to contribute to the BP forums as often as I'd like, so here's a post that I hope is helpful for some of you. I'm always interested in hearing about what others are doing and what we can do better, so fire away questions and share what you use. I used Lucidchart to create it. Hopefully is more legible that it shows creating the post.

Enjoy!

I am going to explore some good options over the next few days and will post a redirect to the events forum here.

It looks like we'll have a nice group to get together. My in-laws will be in town for Easter (from CA) so I'd like to make the date when they will be in town and before I head to Europe. They have over 30 years experience in investing and love networking.

I'd like to propose Thursday, April 2nd or Saturday the 4th @ starting at 5 or 6 PM (Saturday is the night before Easter, but we can make it work if it's the best night). Friday wont work for us. I can make a few calls to reserve some space in a place that is conducive to such a gathering.

Please let me know if you have preference and we'll nail it down to the consensus.

Thanks, looking forward to meeting everyone.

Sergio

great to hear all of the interest! I'm thinking a Friday or Saturday night downtown. I'm heading out of the country for two weeks mid April, so will plan accordingly. Getting some good weather would be ideal too. I'll post some ideas to this thread in the next few days. Thanks

Hi there! Are you a BP member from the Philadelphia area and interested in networking with fellow RE pros? I mean actual networking in person, if you could believe that!

I know that my partner and I have gotten a lot of useful direction from you all and would not be growing the way we are without the knowledge sharing, so we'd really like get together with like-minded folks and see how we can pool experience and expertise.

I'd be happy to coordinate the time and place, so let me know if this is something that would interest you.

Thanks,

Sergio

Hi all, hope your businesses are all flourishing!

As I'm getting older and our portfolio continues to grow, I'm running out of time and energy to do all the smaller projects that most contractors don't want to do. We've gone through so many guys that started off great but then went AWOL, so I'm looking for someone we can count on to do timely and quality work at a reasonable price. I know getting all three qualities is not likely, so I'd be willing to pay a bit more to get the other two.

Any recommendations?

Thanks a bunch!

Sergio

Hi everyone,

So now that I've been in the game for a few years, I'd like to take the plunge and get some formal training and get licensed. First in sales, but eventually as a broker. I don't plan on being a RE Agent per se, but would dabble in it. Any recommendations on training and coursework? Live, online or even DVD is fine. I live in the Philly area.

Thanks for all the help, and have a great weekend!

Sergio

Correction, the PW QB integration let's you export PW into QB, which wouldn't help me make great use of being able to import transactions from banks into QB
