I lived there for 1.5 years. Here are some pics - both damaged ones and other views on good ones which should give a fair idea. Only the doors for ones under the sink and a draw were damaged, I think this is due to the water dripping from outside the sink when we use it(I understand I should have reported this the first time I noticed it). Interiors of those cabinets, and all other cabinets are as good as new. Just to confirm that I'm not hiding any facts, the landlord is showing only the damaged pics of 3 doors as a proof for the invoice.
The landlord has an invoice from a vendor which states "Replacement of Cabinet Doors and draw fronts" and work includes - remove existing cabinet doors/draw fronts, install new ones, remove debris and dispose. There is no breakdown of price, it just has the total price of 3k. This clearly shows they're replacing the entire cabinets.
I said I can pay just to fix those damaged doors, but they are hesitant for any negotiation. Are there any legal options that I can take? Will it be worth it?
